Saint Josemaría went to visit a convent of discalced Carmelites in Cadiz, Spain. “You are the treasure of the Church. Without you the Church would be arid, and we would not be able to say, ‘With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation!’ (Isaiah 12:3.) It is you here who draw the waters of God, so that we can turn the dry land into a grove of orange-trees. Without your help we wouldn’t accomplish a thing. So I have come to thank you… Bless you a thousand times!”
