The solemnity of
Corpus Christi was celebrated on this day in 1971. St Josemarías said, “Today it makes me especially happy to thank the Angels for the way they pay court to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, in all Tabernacles, whether or not it’s a feast-day in honor of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. It’s something I do habitually, but today it gives me still more presence of God. (…) While I was celebrating Mass this morning I said to our Lord in my heart, ‘I’ll keep you company in all the processions throughout the world, in all the Tabernacles where you are honored, and in all the places where you are but people don’t honor you’.”
