WYD Madrid 2011: Young people crowd Plaza de Cibeles to welcome the pope

Benedict XVI was greeted by hundreds of thousands of young people in Madrid's Plaza de Cibeles. This is pope's first event with young people for World Youth Day. The event's official choir welcomed the popemobile as it went through a sea of flags from every continent.

The "Festival of Forgiveness"

The "Festival of Forgiveness" Madrid's Retiro Park will host the "Festival of Forgiveness" during World Youth Day 2011. Hundreds of priests will be located in the park for people to confess throughout the day. The priests will be available to listen to confessions in all major languages.
