Preparing dinner acquires infinite value
Marie Cantin, Graduate in Medicine, home maker, Quebec, Canada

I was impressed by Josemaria Escriva’s love for the Sacraments. The Mass “the center and root of the Christian life,” is more and more for me, as it was for Josemaria Escriva, the center of my days.Since the beginning, I was amazed by the message about work. I very much appreciated the discovery that what gives value to our obligations is the love that we have for God in doing it. The founder of Opus Dei used to say that it is in the middle of the material things of this earth, where we have to sanctify ourselves, serving God and everybody. Under this light, the simple fact of preparing a dinner or to bath a child acquires an infinite value.
