Social integration is possible through treating others as children of God

Within the African continent, there is a great variety: tribes, cultures, religions, races, and so on. How is it possible to integrate such different people and put them to work together?First by respecting their way of being and imposing nothing from the outside. This is only possible when a person is truly and really treated as a child of God. Secondly, by helping each one discover their dignity as a person and they in turn reciprocate. This was the constant teaching of St Josemaria and the results are quite patent in this workshop.
St Josemaria taught that we are children of God. It is when we understand the dignity of a person, as a child of God that we discover the most powerful integrating force; our vocation, which inspires our human activity and brings us into contact with our colleagues and the great problems that affect society. St Josemaria’s teachings are focused on helping people discover their divine mission, showing them that their human vocation, i.e. having been chosen as children of God, and expressed in their everyday professional, family and social events, is not opposed to their supernatural vocation.
