Hi, I’m Juan Godoy, 54, raised in Barcelona and have lived nearly 20 years in Malaga, Spain. I have to say that I have known about St Josemaria for over 35 years. When I was quite young I saw some talks about him on TV and it made an impact on me, I could see he had a great personality and “gifts from God”.

I’m a believer but to be frank I didn’t really practice. In May 2009 I walked part of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route, from Astorga to Santiago de Compostela, alone, on my own initiative. I kind of re-met with St Josemaria when I went to Mass at the Basilica in Santiago. It was a beautiful Mass and very moving. On my way out I found a leaflet and prayer-card with the prayer to St Josemaria. I kept it, and I have it right behind me in my office.

First miracle:
The first miracle I consider he obtained for me was in September 2010, when I lost my office keys. I realised when I got home, 6 kilometers away. I went back along the road, by motorcycle, twice, scrutinizing the ground each time. It was a real problem: I couldn’t find them anywhere and they were the keys to the office including the remote control. It was a real calamity.
I remembered St Josemaria, read the prayer, and prayed to him that I could find the keys. When I got to the office for the second time, I went into a nearby bar and told them my problem about losing the keys. The barman told me a man had just been in with a key-ring full of keys which he had found quite near there, and he’d left them in case anyone claimed them.
For me that moment was a miracle. THANK YOU ST JOSEMARIA.

Second miracle:
In April 2009, my son entered a competitive examination to work in the public sector in Malaga, and got the job. To begin with he was working as an intern, filling in for provisional vacancies. His contract was renewable every six months. In December 2010 he was given a permanent contract automatically. The department said this was due to an administrative error. In my opinion it was a miracle from St Josemaria, because I often read his prayer and prayed that my son’s job would be made permanent. THANK YOU ST JOSEMARIA.

Third miracle:
My daughter is studying law in Malaga. She has passed all the subjects year by year, but the final year includes Procedural Law, a very tough subject in the law faculty in Malaga. She took the exam in June and failed. She took it again in December, and failed it again – as I say, this subject is a real bugbear for law students in Malaga. This February she took the exam again, and finally passed. I have been praying to St Josemaria nearly every day and I consider it was through his intercession. For me it was a miracle. THANK YOU ST JOSEMARIA.
